Current psychopathology models emphasize very early intersubjectivity-based interventions in children to prevent later mental disorders

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
Current psychopathology models have evolved toward dimensional models, in which symptoms and diseases are at the extremes of dimensions. Despite these new dimensional proposals, classifications and third-person approach have shown limitations.

Category-specific enhancement of retrieval due to field perspective [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Two memory perspectives have been distinguished: A field perspective where events are re-experienced in the first person, and an observer perspective where events are witnessed in the third person.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Metoda wywiadu mikrofenomenologicznego w ujęciu Claire Petitmengin jako przykład metody drugoosobowej w badaniu doświadczenia.

open access: yesAnaliza i Egzystencja
The aim of this article is to present the microphenomenological interview method as a second-person method in the study of experience. Researchers in the field of cognitive science are beginning to realize that third-person methods of studying experience

NARRATION AS A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION IN SELECTED NOVELS BY J.M.COETZEE: WAITING FOR BARBARIANS AND FOE

open access: yesLanguage Literacy: Journal of Linguistics, Literature, and Language Teaching, 2019
Narrations become very important such that, we tend to try to make others want to fit into them to identify with us, which is why narrative is often used in the recount of events, the past, geared to justify the systems of domination and control evident ...

Annotation Guideline No. 7: Guidelines for annotation of narrative structure

open access: yesJournal of Cultural Analytics, 2020
Analysis of narrative structure can be said to answer the question “Who tells what, and how?”. The first part of the question thus concerns aspects such as who is narrating, whether it is a character in the story or not, and if it is a first-person or ...

Forgiveness Or Fairness? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Several philosophers who argue that forgiveness is an important virtue also wish to maintain the moral value of retributive emotions that forgiveness is meant to overcome.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.
