Atomization Behavior as a Function of the Viscosity in a Rotary Disk Spray Dryer
During the spray drying it’s important that the humid product doesn’t reach the wall since it can result in losses and contamination. The main objective of the present work was to develop a method to quantify the influence of feed viscosity on ...

Simulations of spray breakup are challenging due to a wide range of different length and time scales. While Volume-of-Fluid (VoF) is suited for the primary breakup, the secondary breakup and the dilute spray cloud is better resolved using a Lagrangian ...

Secondary atomization of electrostatically charged drops
When a drop is subjected to a surrounding dispersed phase that is moving at an initial relative velocity, aerodynamic forces may cause it to deform and fragment.

On the Droplet Formation Process in Electrohydrodynamic Atomization [PDF]
A novel method of using a secondary electrical field source to control both the spray mode and the droplet size in the electrohydrodynamic atomization process is presented.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Secondary atomization of coal-water fuels for gas turbine applications [PDF]
The main research objective is to determine the effect of coal-water fuel (CWF) treatment on atomization quality when applied to an ultrafine coal water fuel (solids loading - 50%) and at elevated pressures.

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Investigation of Puffing and Micro-Explosion of Water-in-Diesel Emulsion Spray Using Shadow Imaging
Water-in-diesel emulsions potentially favor the occurrence of micro-explosions when exposed to elevated temperatures, thereby improving the mixing of fuels with the ambient gas.
