Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Properties of Electrode Induction Melting Gas Atomization- and Vacuum Induction Melting Atomization-Produced Powders and Their As-HIPed Blanks. [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials (Basel)
The main method for large-scaled preparing powder superalloys in the production process is inert gas atomization, particularly vacuum-induced gas atomization (VIGA).

Surface sensitivity of atomic-resolution secondary electron imaging

open access: yesMicroscopy
Abstract The surface sensitivity of high-resolution secondary electron (SE) imaging is examined using twisted bilayers of MoS2 stacked at an angle of 30°. High-resolution SE images of the twisted bilayer MoS2 show a honeycomb structure composed of Mo and S atoms, elucidating the monolayer structure of MoS2.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Secondary Atomization of a Biodiesel Micro-Emulsion Fuel Droplet Colliding with a Heated Wall

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Using high-speed video recording, we establish the following regimes of hydrodynamic interaction of a biodiesel micro-emulsion fuel droplet with a heated wall: deposition (including drop spreading and receding), drop hydrodynamic breakup, and rebound ...

Secondary atomization of liquid columns in compressible crossflows

open access: yes, 2019
The secondary atomization of liquid droplets is a common physical phenomenon in many industrial and engineering applications. Atomization in high speed compressible flows is less well understood than its more frequently studied low Mach number counterpart.

Effect of Particle Concentration on Shape Deformation and Secondary Atomization Characteristics of a Burning Nanotitania Dispersion Droplet

open access: yes, 2015
Secondary atomization characteristics of burning bicomponent (ethanol-water) droplets containing titania nanoparticles (NPs) in dilute (0.5% and 1 wt.%) and dense concentrations (5% and 7.5 wt.%) are studied experimentally at atmospheric pressure under ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
