Coordinated Bidding and Distributed Tracking Control for Secondary Frequency Regulation in Multi-Site Charging Networks with Charging Service Safeguards

open access: yesEnergies
The rapid integration of renewable energy is increasing the need for fast and sustained load-side frequency regulation, and public electric vehicle (EV) charging networks are promising providers.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Frequency regulation for power systems with renewable energy sources [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Both the increasing penetration of renewable sources and their participation in the production of power in the electrical system require a more comprehensive analysis of the dynamic behavior of the grid frequency regulation structure. In this sense, this

Multi-Source Coordinated Control and Parameter Optimization Methods for Frequency Stability in High-Proportion New Energy Sending-End Systems [PDF]

open access: yesDianli jianshe
[Objective] Constructing renewable energy transmission systems is a key approach for addressing the uneven spatial distribution of resources. However, integrating a high proportion of renewable energy poses significant challenges to the frequency ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Energy Storage Sizing for Wind-Storage Frequency Regulation: Kinetic Energy Recovery and Secondary Frequency Drop Suppression

open access: yesEnergies
High wind power penetration aggravates power system inertia scarcity, and wind turbines switching to MPPT mode after virtual inertia support induces secondary frequency drop (SFD), impairing grid frequency stability.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Optimal Primary Frequency Regulation Control Strategy for Wind Farms to Prevent Secondary Frequency Drop

open access: yesAdvances in Computer and Materials Scienc Research
As the share of wind power in the power generation structure increases, the demand for effective frequency regulation using wind turbines also grows. Wind turbines typically participate in frequency regulation by reducing rotor speed. However, extended operation at low speeds can lead to efficiency losses, which necessitate measures to disengage from ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...
