The effectiveness of combining a home-based Digital motor Telerehabilitation program with conventional therapy in progressive multiple sclerosis: A study protocol for a multicenter, randomized controlled trial

open access: yesDigital Health
Objective The primary aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of in-hospital rehabilitation followed by a home-based Digital Telerehabilitation program on mobility versus in-hospital rehabilitation alone in patients with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis ...

Multi‐Technique Integration Identifies O‐GlcNAc Transferase in Fibroblast‐Like Synoviocytes as a Therapeutic Target for Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AI‑guided single‑cell transcriptomics identifies OGT as a key regulator enriched in rheumatoid arthritis fibroblast‑like synoviocytes (RA‐FLSs). Inflammatory stimuli activate the OGT–SAP130 axis, which modulates the H3K27ac/H3K27me3 balance and epigenetically silences BTG2, promoting aggressive transformation of RA‑FLSs.

CAR‐Engineered Cell Therapies Beyond Cancer: Reprogramming Fibrosis and Immune‐Mediated Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CAR‐engineered cell therapies are expanding beyond cancer toward immune resetting, pathological‐cell clearance, matrix remodeling, and microenvironmental reprogramming in autoimmune, inflammatory, and fibrotic diseases. This Review compares CAR‐T, CAR‐macrophage, and CAR‐NK platforms and proposes controllable spatiotemporal reprogramming to align ...

TGFBI Maintains Fibrocartilage Homeostasis by Restraining O‐GlcNAcylation to Inactivate and Destabilize ADAMTS16 in Temporomandibular Joint Osteoarthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TGFBI deficiency elevates O‐GlcNAcylation, promoting the transcriptional activation of ADAMTS16 and OGT‐mediated post‐translational modification of ADAMTS16 at Ser1170. This leads to its stabilization and accumulation, driving chondrocyte metabolic disorders and senescent phenotypes, ultimately resulting in fibrocartilage dysfunction and TMJOA ...

High Diagnosis Rate for Nonimmune Hydrops Fetalis With Prenatal Clinical Genome: Expanded Results From the Hydrops‐Yielding Diagnostic Results of Prenatal Sequencing (HYDROPS) Study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nonimmune hydrops fetalis (NIHF) is characterized by abnormal fluid accumulation in ≥ 2 fetal compartments and may be genetic. The incremental diagnostic yield of prenatal exome sequencing (ES) for NIHF following a negative standard workup was previously explored on 22 cases.

General Practice Utilisation for Adults With Neurological Disability Who Are National Disability Insurance Scheme Participants in Australia

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Most adults with neurological disability rely on general practitioners for managing and preventing health complications. This study analysed patterns of general practice service utilisation among National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants with neurological disability and compared these with people who are not NDIS participants ...

Contemporary management of pain in cirrhosis: Toward precision therapy for pain

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Abstract Chronic pain is highly prevalent in patients with cirrhosis and is associated with poor health‐related quality of life and poor functional status. However, there is limited guidance on appropriate pain management in this population, and pharmacologic treatment can be harmful, leading to adverse outcomes, such as gastrointestinal bleeding ...

Toward a Behavioral Reserve Model in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Behavioral impairment is common in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and strongly affects autonomy, caregiver burden, and outcomes, yet predictors of vulnerability remain unclear. We investigated whether premorbid regulatory traits and socio‐educational exposures are associated with behavioral phenotypes in ALS within a behavioral reserve ...
