Development of supply-limited transport due to vertical sorting of a sand-gravel mixture [PDF]
If a partially mobile sediment is transported an immobile sediment layer can form below the bedforms. This immobile layer can cause a supply-limitation, i.e. the volume of mobile sediment on top of the layer available for transport becomes limited.

Bed load sediment transport inferred from seismic signals near a river
We examine broadband (5–480 Hz) seismic data from the Erlenbach stream in the Swiss Prealps, where discharge, precipitation, and bed load transport are independently constrained.

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

New hydroacoustic and core data reveal sediment transport patterns off Uruguay [PDF]
Submarine landslides cause slope instabilities and might damage sea-floor infrastructure or even generate tsunami waves. Therefore it is of major importance to understand all processes related to gravity-driven mass wasting and slope stability at ...

Modeling bed evolution using weakly coupled phase-resolving wave model and wave-averaged sediment transport model [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a model for the simulation of the bed evolution dynamics in coastal regions characterized by articulated morphologies.

Sediment Resuspension and Transport by Internal Solitary Waves
Large-amplitude internal waves induce currents and turbulence in the bottom boundary layer (BBL) and are thus a key driver of sediment movement on the continental margins.

This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

Direct numerical simulations of aeolian sand ripples
Aeolian sand beds exhibit regular patterns of ripples resulting from the interaction between topography and sediment transport. Their characteristics have been so far related to reptation transport caused by the impacts on the ground of grains entrained ...

Modelling of wave climate and sediment transport patterns at a tideless embayed beach, Pirita Beach, Estonia [PDF]
Nearshore sand transport patterns along the tideless, embayed Pirita beach, Tallinn, Estonia, have been investigated utilizing high-resolution modelling of wave processes combined with bathymetric surveys and sediment textural analyses of the nearshore ...

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein
