Model for how α‐syn modulates the positioning of endolysosomes in melanoma cells. (a) α‐syn tethers endolysosomes to the plasma membrane, a last step in anterograde transport. (b) Loss of α‐syn expression causes the loss of the tethering function, which leads to perinuclear vesicle clustering. Reproduced from the open access article.

Clinical Interpretation of Platelet Activation Marker sCLEC‐2 in Antiphospholipid Syndrome
Soluble C‐type lectin‐like receptor 2 (sCLEC‐2), a marker of platelet activation, was evaluated in patients with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). Plasma sCLEC‐2 levels and the sCLEC‐2/D‐dimer ratio were significantly elevated in APS compared with other collagen diseases and healthy controls.

ABSTRACT Circadian rhythms orchestrate cardiovascular physiology by regulating immune and inflammatory pathways. Disruption of these rhythms profoundly alters vascular homeostasis, thereby promoting the onset and progression of cardiovascular diseases (CVD).

Leguminous Lectins as Tools for Studying the Role of Sugar Residues in Leukocyte Recruitment
The natural physiological ligands for selectins are oligosaccharides found in glycoprotein or glycolipid molecules in cell membranes. In order to study the role of sugar residues in the in vivo lectin anti-inflammatory effect, we tested three leguminous ...

A Biomimetic Micro‐Nano System Maximizing ‘Active Transport and Retention’ Effect in Solid Tumors
The Active Transport and Retention (ATR) strategy is realized using a biomimetic micro‐nano system (PG@BAM‐LRC), achieving superior tumor accumulation and efficacy in low‐EPR pancreatic tumors. Platelet (PG)‐derived microcarriers enable tumor‐homing and MMP‐9‐responsive release of nanoliposomes (LRC), while berbamine (BAM) promotes transendothelial ...

We created a coculture system using patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) that mimics important interactions between PDOs and TILs in the presence of various ICIs. Our findings reveal that CD62L+ T cells, activated by CD44+ cancer stem cells (CSCs), facilitate tumor regression in samples sensitive to ICIs, which is ...

sCR1sLeX reduces lung allograft ischemia-reperfusion injury but does not ameliorate acute rejection [PDF]
Background: Combined inhibition of complement and leukocyte adhesion by sCR1sLeX reduces lung allograft dysfunction up to 24 h. In the present study its effect on graft function and acute rejection was evaluated up to 5 days after experimental ...
