Analysis of Control Policies and Dynamic Response of a Q-Car 2-DOF Semi Active System
Several control policies of Q-car 2-DOF semiactive system, namely skyhook, groundhook and hybrid controls are presented. Their ride comfort, suspension displacement and road-holding performances are analyzed and compared with passive system. The analysis

ANFIS optimized semi-active fuzzy logic controller for magnetorheological dampers
In this paper, we report on the development of a neuro-fuzzy controller for magnetorheological dampers using an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System or ANFIS.

Semi-Active Control of Post-tensioned Steel Frames [PDF]
After the Northridge 1994 earthquake it was found that failures in steel frame buildings were mainly concentrated in beam-column connections. This prompted researchers to work on improvements, mainly focussed on increasing the rotational ductility ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

To alleviate the impact and vibrations to a driver in multiple directions during the driving of non-road vehicles, the authors of this paper proposed a multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) seat damping suspension that was based on the cubic Stewart mechanism ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

A Multi-Hook Control Strategy for a Semi-Active Device Combining an Adjustable Inerter and Damper
Neither the separate skyhook damping nor the skyhook inertance control strategy can adapt to the variations of both road and load conditions simultaneously.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Semi-active control of crankshaft skyhook based on magnetorheological torsional damper
The purpose of this study was to solve the problem that the damping of rubber or silicone oil torsional dampers used in crankshafts is not adjustable and cannot effectively control torsional vibration at different resonant frequencies.
