Cyclic nucleotide signaling as a drug target in retinitis pigmentosa
Disruptions in cGMP and cAMP signaling can contribute to retinal dysfunction and photoreceptor loss in retinitis pigmentosa. This perspective examines the mechanisms and evaluates emerging evidence on targeting these pathways as a potential therapeutic strategy to slow or prevent retinal degeneration.

Exposure to common noxious agents (1), including allergens, pollutants, and micro‐nanoplastics, can cause epithelial barrier damage (2) in our body's protective linings. This may trigger an immune response to our microbiome (3). The epithelial barrier theory explains how this process can lead to chronic noncommunicable diseases (4) affecting organs ...

Rendezvous with sensitivity [PDF]
Let $(X,d)$ be a compact metric space and $f:X \to X$ be a self-map. The compact dynamical system $(X,f)$ is called sensitive or sensitivity depends on initial conditions, if there is a positive constant $ $ such that in each non-empty open subset there are distinct points whose iterates will be $ -$apart at same instance.

Sensitivity-Selectivity Trade-Offs in Surface Ionization Gas Detection
Surface ionization (SI) provides a simple, sensitive, and selective method for the detection of high-proton affinity substances, such as organic decay products, medical and illicit drugs as well as a range of other hazardous materials. Tests on different

Burst Populations and Detector Sensitivity
The F_T (peak bolometric photon flux) vs. E_p (peak energy) plane is a powerful tool to compare the burst populations detected by different detectors. Detector sensitivity curves in this plane demonstrate which burst populations the detectors will detect.

Lithium is still the treatment of choice in bipolar affective disorder. The patient presented here represents an example of the possible severity of metabolic defects resulting from lithium use. In this case, it caused severe intractable nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (NDI). Our case report draws attention to 2 important messages.
