Visual sensitivity tester [PDF]
Testing device uses closed loop film cassettes to project programmed visual stimuli on screen which the observer views through a lens making the stimuli appear to be at optical infinity.

Dynamical compactness and sensitivity
To link the Auslander point dynamics property with topological transitivity, in this paper we introduce dynamically compact systems as a new concept of a chaotic dynamical system $(X,T)$ given by a compact metric space $X$ and a continuous surjective ...

Interaction extracellular vesicles (iEVs) are hybrid vesicles formed through host‐pathogen communication. They facilitate immune evasion, transfer pathogens' molecules, increase host cell uptake, and enhance virulence. This Perspective article illustrates the multifunctional roles of iEVs and highlights their emerging relevance in infection dynamics ...

Where Sensitivity Don't Work [PDF]
Robert Nozick (1981, 172) offers the following analysis of knowledge (where S stands for subject and p for proposition): D1 S knows that p =df (1) S believes p, (2) p is true, (3) if p weren’t true, S wouldn’t believe that p ...

On Block Sensitivity and Fractional Block Sensitivity [PDF]
We investigate the relation between the block sensitivity $\text{bs}(f)$ and fractional block sensitivity $\text{fbs}(f)$ complexity measures of Boolean functions. While it is known that $\text{fbs}(f) = O(\text{bs}(f)^2)$, the best known separation achieves $\text{fbs}(f) = \left(\frac{1}{3\sqrt2} +o(1)\right) \text{bs(f)}^{3/2}$.

Autophagy in cancer and protein conformational disorders
Autophagy plays a crucial role in numerous biological processes, including protein and organelle quality control, development, immunity, and metabolism. Hence, dysregulation or mutations in autophagy‐related genes have been implicated in a wide range of human diseases.

Stealth analysis and sensitivity calculation of ship air-intake grille
[Objectives] Since the geometric parameters of the ship air-intake grilles are numerous, the calculation cost of radar wave stealth performance optimizing for all parameters is too high, and the geometric parameter sequences with high Radar Cross Section ...

Sensitivity optimization for NV-diamond magnetometry [PDF]
Solid-state spin systems including nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond constitute an increasingly favored quantum sensing platform. However, present NV ensemble devices exhibit sensitivities orders of magnitude away from theoretical limits.
