TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Implementing parallel elliptic solver on a Beowulf cluster

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 1999
In a recent paper cite{zara} a parallel direct solver for the linear systems arising from elliptic partial differential equations has been proposed. The aim of this note is to present the initial evaluation of the performance characteristics of this ...

Small-signal transmittances of DC-DC step-down PWM converter in various operation modes

open access: yesArchives of Electrical Engineering, 2015
Small-signal transmittances: input-to-output and control-to-output of BUCK converter power stage working in CCM or DCM mode are discussed. Ideal converter case and converter with parasitic resistances are considered separately.

Simple and enlarged separation portfolios. On their Use when Arbitraging and Synthesizing Securities. [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper seeks to provide a framework for separation portfolios when they are used not only as synthetics of a matching security but also as building blocks of arbitrage portfolios, in a background provided by the CAPM world.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

How Can We Manage Repairing a Broken Finite Vibrating String? Solutions to the Problem I

open access: yesJournal of Optimization, Differential Equations and Their Applications
The current research deals with an initial-boundary value problem (IBVP) with the Dirichlet boundary conditions for the 1D homogeneous wave equation with discontinuous piece-wise constant coefficient previously formulated (JODEA, 31 (2) (2023), 89 – 114)

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Block-Separation of Variables: a Form of Partial Separation for Natural Hamiltonians

open access: yes, 2019
We study twisted products H=αʳHᵣ of natural autonomous Hamiltonians Hᵣ, each one depending on a separate set, called here a separate r-block, of variables.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
