The k-junction motif in RNA structure [PDF]
The k-junction is a structural motif in RNA comprising a three-way helical junction based upon kink turn (k-turn) architecture. A computer program written to examine relative helical orientation identified the three-way junction of the Arabidopsis TPP ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Computational analysis of next generation sequencing data : from transcription start sites in bacteria to human non-coding RNAS [PDF]
The advent of next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies has revolutionized the field of molecular biology by providing a wealth of sequence data. “Transcriptomics”, which aims to identify and annotate the complete set of RNA molecules transcribed ...

In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

circRNA-associated-ceRNA networks in patients with traumatic tracheal stenosis
Traumatic tracheal stenosis (TTS) is one of the most commonly seen iatrogenic airway injuries caused by tracheal intubation or tracheotomy, which can harm the lives of patients in severe cases.

Assaying the Effects of Splice Site Variants by Exon Trapping in a Mammalian Cell Line
There are several in silico programs that endeavor to predict the functional impact of an individual’s sequence variation at splice donor/acceptor sites, but experimental confirmation is problematic without a source of RNA from the individual that ...

Reconstructing phylogeny from RNA secondary structure via simulated evolution
DNA sequences of genes encoding functional RNA molecules (e.g., ribosomal RNAs) are commonly used in phylogenetics (i.e. to infer evolutionary history).

Tidying up international nucleotide sequence databases [PDF]
Sequence analysis of the ribosomal RNA operon, particularly the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, provides a powerful tool for identification of mycorrhizal fungi.
