Charge-induced series resistance switching in GaAs solar cells

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2012
We report the observation of an abrupt decrease in the series resistance and a concurrent steep increase in the dark current at a threshold voltage, and subsequent hysteresis in the current-voltage characteristics of GaAs p-n junction solar cells.

Non-Uniform Spline Quasi-Interpolation to Extract the Series Resistance in Resistive Switching Memristors for Compact Modeling Purposes

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
An advanced new methodology is presented to improve parameter extraction in resistive memories. The series resistance and some other parameters in resistive memories are obtained, making use of a two-stage algorithm, where the second one is based on ...

Compensation for resistance in series with excitable membranes

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 1984
Extracellular resistance in series (Rs) with excitable membranes can give rise to significant voltage errors that distort the current records in voltage-clamped membranes. Electrical methods for measurement of and compensation for such resistances are described and evaluated.

BSAC Vanguard Series: Inequality and antibiotic resistance [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, 2021
Abstract COVID-19 has highlighted the worldwide inequities in access to the tools needed to tackle the pandemic. The same is the case for antibiotic resistance (ABR), which is projected to cause far greater devastation. The truth is that unless we tackle the burden of infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), we ...

Simulation of Series Resistance Increase through Solder Layer Cracking in Si Solar Cells under Thermal Cycling

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
In solar cell modules, thermal cycling stresses can cause cracking in the ribbon wire, leading to an increase in series resistance and a drop in the power output of the module.

Performance Evaluation of Analytical Methods for Parameters Extraction of Photovoltaic Generators

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
This paper presents a succinct exploration of several analytical methods for extracting the parameters of the single-diode model (SDM) of a photovoltaic (PV) module under standard test conditions (STC). The paper investigates six methods and presents the

Series Resistance Reduction in Stacked Nanowire FETs for 7-nm CMOS Technology

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2016
Vertically stacked nanowire field effect transistors currently dominate the race to become mainstream devices for 7-nm CMOS technology node. However, these devices are likely to suffer from the issue of nanowire stack position dependent drain current. In
