Direct Conversion of Aryl Iodides Into Benzylamines by Aminomethylation: Reaction Scope, Mechanistic Studies, and Applications

This study presents an efficient aminomethylation of aryl iodides with formamides for the synthesis of benzylamines using a reusable palladium catalyst at a loading of 65 mol ppm. The substrate scope is systematically evaluated, and mechanistic investigations provide insight into the reaction pathway and the origin of the observed catalytic efficiency.
