Fluoxetine, a selective serotonin uptake inhibitor
Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, 1978Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin uptake inhibitor in man. Platelets harvested from subjects to whom fluoxetine was administered (30 mg daily for 1 wk) had a diminished ability to accumulate 3Hâserotonin. The inhibition of uptake was positively correlated with the plasma concentrations of fluoxetine.
