The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Georg Cantor i idea jedności nauki
G. Cantor presented - in an unpublished paper (1884) - a vision of the unity of science. He argued all sciences can be reduced directly to the set theory. A source of this idea was for Cantor the unity of mathematics (on the basis of set theory).

The Modal Status of Generative Principles
This contribution to a symposium marking the 30th anniversary of Kit Fine’s “Essence and Modality” raises a general question for essentialist theories of modality: What sort of proposition can figure in the essence of a property? Several versions of Fine’

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Formal methods in software development: A road less travelled
An integration of traditional verification techniques and formal specifications in software engineering is presented. Advocates of such techniques claim that mathematical formalisms allow them to produce quality, verifiably correct, or at least highly ...

Pour une formalisation du concept d’équivalence en terminologie
Equivalence is a central yet often controversial concept in the field of multilingual terminology. While extensively theorized in translation studies, it remains a vague notion in terminology, situated at the intersection of conceptual and linguistic ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...
