AdS weight shifting operators [PDF]
AbstractWe construct a new class of differential operators that naturally act on AdS harmonic functions. These are weight shifting operators that change the spin and dimension of AdS representations. Together with CFT weight shifting operators, the new operators obey crossing equations that relate distinct representations of the conformal group.

Otologic symptoms and hearing thresholds among a cohort of call center operators in Lagos
Background The call center operation jobs are becoming a global phenomenon. The use of headphones for 7 to 9 h daily with varying noise level exposure is quite common among call center operators. This can cause structural and/or functional changes in the

Topological Transitivity of Shift Similar Operators on Nonseparable Hilbert Spaces
In this paper, we investigate topological transitivity of operators on nonseparable Hilbert spaces which are similar to backward weighted shifts.

We study the maximal operator $M_{\gamma}$ and the singular integral operator $A_{\gamma}$, associated with the generalized shift operator. The generalized shift operators are associated with the Laplace-Bessel differential operator.

A Functional Abstraction of Typed Invocation Contexts [PDF]
In their paper "A Functional Abstraction of Typed Contexts", Danvy and Filinski show how to derive a monomorphic type system of the shift and reset operators from a CPS semantics.

Non-archimedean shift operators [PDF]
We introduce and study non-Archimedean analogs of the operators of unilateral shift and backward shift playing crucial roles in the classical theory of nonselfadjoint operators. In particular, we find various functional models of these operators having both common and different features compared to their classical counterparts.

Hypercyclicity of adjoint of convex weighted shift and multiplication operators on Hilbert spaces [PDF]
A bounded linear operator $T$ on a Hilbert space $\mathfrak{H}$ is convex, if $$\|\mathfrak{T}^{2}v\|^2-2\|\mathfrak{T}v\|^2+\|v\|^2 \geq 0.$$ In this paper, sufficient conditions to hypercyclicity of adjoint of unilateral (bilateral) forward (backward ...

New Bell–Sheffer Polynomial Sets
In recent papers, new sets of Sheffer and Brenke polynomials based on higher order Bell numbers, and several integer sequences related to them, have been studied. The method used in previous articles, and even in the present one, traces back to preceding

Shifting Operators in Geometric Quantization [PDF]
The original Bohr-Sommerfeld theory of quantization did not give operators of transitions between quantum quantum states. This paper derives these operators, using the first principles of geometric quantization.
