Lanthanum: A novel inducer for enhancement of fungal laccase production by Shiraia bambusicola

Journal of Rare Earths, 2022
Abstract Fungal laccases are industrially important inducible enzymes extensively used in the delignification of lignocellulosics, detoxification of environmental wastes and decolorization of textile dyes. The discovery of new inducers is crucial for laccase productivity by filamentous fungi.

The Shiraiachromes: Novel Fungal Perylenequinone Pigments from Shiraia Bambusicola

Journal of Natural Products, 1989
Three novel perylenequinone pigments shiraiachromes A, B and C have been isolated from the Chinese bamboo fungus, Shiraia bambusicola. Their structures (cyclohepta [ghi] perylene dione-5,12) have been determined on the basis of spectroscopic data and chemical ...

[Studies on the chemical constituents of Shiraia bambusicola].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2003
To study the chemical constituents of Shiraia bambusicola.Column chromatography with silica gel was employed for the isolation and purification of constituents. The structures were elucidated by means of chemical and spectroscopic data.Seven compounds were obtained and identified as hypocrellin A (I), hypocrellin B (II), hypocrellin C (III), hypomycin ...

Effect of Synergistic Inducement on the Production of Laccase by a Novel Shiraia bambusicola Strain GZ11K2

Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 2012
In this study, an easily detectable method was employed for screening laccase-producing microorganisms by using 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate) as laccase secretion indicator. A novel laccase-producing strain was isolated and identified as Shiraia bambusicola Henn.

[Isolation and determination of anamorph of Shiraia bambusicola].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2009
To isolate and identify the anamorph of Shiraia bambusicola.Fungus strains were isolated from mature ascospores and stroma. They were identified by means of morphological identification including colony and microscope characteristic, the molecular identification was done by 5.8S-ITS rDNA.The strains GZDXIFR-171 and GZDXIFR-181 were isolated and ...

Identification and Evaluation of Reliable Reference Genes in the Medicinal Fungus Shiraia bambusicola

Current Microbiology, 2015
The stability of reference genes plays a vital role in real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analysis, which is generally regarded as a convenient and sensitive tool for the analysis of gene expression. A well-known medicinal fungus, Shiraia bambusicola, has great potential in the pharmaceutical, agricultural ...

The production of hypocrellin colorants by submerged cultivation of the medicinal fungus Shiraia bambusicola

Dyes and Pigments, 2009
Abstract Hypocrellin production using submerged cultivation of the medicinal fungus Shiraia bambusicola revealed that both glucose and (NH4)2SO4 were optimal carbon and nitrogen sources. Hypocrellin production increased with increasing initial glucose concentration within the range of 10–50 g l−1 and (NH4)2SO4 concentration in the range of 1–2 g l−1.

[Studies on liquid fermentation of anamorph of Shiraia bambusicola].

Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2006
A asexuae strain producing effective component hypocrellin was isolated from the hypha of Shiraia bambusicola sporo-carp. By liquid-state fermentation and orthogonal teat with shake flask culture, the optimum medium component and culture conditions were: saccharose 20 g/L, yeast extract 8 g/L, maize extract 2 g/L, pH 6.0, culture broth quantity 50/250 ...

Enhanced Production of Hypocrellin A in Submerged Cultures of Shiraia bambusicola by Red Light

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 2018
AbstractHypocrellin A (HA), a promising photosensitizer for anticancer photodynamic therapy (PDT), is a fungal perylenequinone pigment from the fruiting body of Shiraia bambusicola, a traditional Chinese medicine for treating skin diseases. The mycelial cultures are becoming a biotechnological alternative for HA production.
