Sigma Phase Stabilization by Nb Doping in a New High-Entropy Alloy in the FeCrMnNiCu System: A Study of Phase Prediction and Nanomechanical Response

open access: yesMetals
The development of high-entropy alloys has been hampered by the challenge of effectively and verifiably predicting phases using predictive methods for functional design.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

A minimalistic pure spinor sigma-model in AdS

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
The b-ghost of the pure spinor formalism in a general curved background is not holomorphic. For such theories, the construction of the string measure requires the knowledge of the action of diffeomorphisms on the BV phase space.

Further Analysis on \sigma-particle Properties

open access: yes, 1997
In a previous work, we have reanalyzed the I=0 S-wave \pi\pi-scattering phase-shift through a new method of Interfering Breit-Wigner amplitudes, and have shown the existence of a light scalar, \sigma particle, accompanied by a negative "repulsive core ...

Phase-locked loop based delta-sigma ADC

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2010
A phase-locked loop (PLL) based delta-sigma analogue-to-digital converter architecture providing second-order noise shaping is presented. By combining a low power passive integrator with a voltage-controlled oscillator-based integrator, the proposed architecture suppresses the oscillator nonlinearity with minimum hardware penalty.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Branching and annihilating Levy flights

open access: yes, 2000
We consider a system of particles undergoing the branching and annihilating reactions A -> (m+1)A and A + A -> 0, with m even. The particles move via long-range Levy flights, where the probability of moving a distance r decays as r^{-d-sigma}. We analyze

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
