Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Non-parametric linear time-invariant system identification by discrete wavelet transforms
We describe the use of the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) for non-parametric linear time-invariant system identification. Identification is achieved by using a test excitation to the system under test (SUT) that also acts as the analyzing function for ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Computed tomography (CT) imaging technology has been widely used to assist medical diagnosis in recent years. However, noise during the process of imaging, and data compression during the process of storage and transmission always interrupt the image ...

Adaptive beamforming assisted receiver
Adaptive beamforming is capable of separating user signals transmitted on the same carrier frequency, and thus provides a practical means of supporting multiusers in a space-division multiple-access scenario.

Statistical signal processing for automotive safety systems
The amount of software in general and safety systems in particular increases rapidly in the automotive industry. The trend is that functionality is decentralized, so new safety functions are distributed to common shared computer hardware, sensors and ...

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

GLRT-Based Direction Detectors in Homogeneous Noise and Subspace Interference [PDF]
In this paper, we derive and assess decision schemes to discriminate, resorting to an array of sensors, between the H0 hypothesis that data under test contain disturbance only (i.e., noise plus interference) and the H1 hypothesis that they also contain ...
