Wnt signaling pathway in cancer immunotherapy.
Cancer Letters, 2021Wnt/β-catenin signaling is a highly conserved pathway that regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, stem cell self-renewal, tissue homeostasis, and wound healing.

Jasmonates in plants are cyclic fatty acid–derived regulators structurally similar to prostaglandins in metazoans. These chemicals mediate many of plants' transcriptional responses to wounding and pathogenesis by acting as potent regulators for the expression of numerous frontline immune response genes, including those for defensins and ...

The Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway is essential for development and tissue homeostasis in metazoans. Probably as a result of its potent influence on cell-fate outcomes, the Hh pathway when corrupted results in malformations and diseases such as cancer. Many of the pathway components that contribute to Hh-mediated signal transduction are presented.

Toll-like receptors (TLRs) have been established to play an essential role in the activation of innate immunity by recognizing specific patterns of microbial components. TLR signaling pathways arise from intracytoplasmic TIR domains, which are conserved among all TLRs.

Cytokinins are key regulators of a large number of processes in plant development, which is highly plastic and adaptive, and remarkably resilient and self-perpetuating. Cytokinin signaling involves a multistep two-component system, also called a phosphorelay signaling system.

Gibberellin signalling pathway
Current Opinion in Plant Biology, 2003Recent molecular biological and genetical studies have identified several positive and negative regulators of gibberellin (GA) signalling pathways in higher plants. The DELLA protein functions as a negative regulator of GA signalling; its degradation through the ubiquitin/proteasome pathway is a key event in the regulation of GA-stimulated processes.

Osteoclast signalling pathways
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2005The osteoclast is a monocyte-derived cell with complex regulatory control due to its role, balancing calcium homeostasis with skeletal modelling and repair. Normal differentiation requires tyrosine kinase- and tumor necrosis-family receptors, normally fms and RANK.

Notch is a receptor that mediates intercellular signaling through a pathway conserved across the metazoa. It is involved in cell fate assignation and pattern formation during development. The receptor acts as a membrane-tethered transcription factor and is activated by members of the Delta, Serrate, Lag-2 family of Notch ligands, which trigger two ...

Angiogenic Signalling Pathways
2008Hypoxia is widely recognised as a key driving force for tumor angiogenesis by its induction of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and other direct-acting angiogenic factors. We describe the effect of hypoxia on gene expression and downstream angiogenic signalling; however, the angiogenic process is complex, and many other signalling pathways ...

The role of JAK/STAT signaling pathway and its inhibitors in diseases.
International Immunopharmacology, 2020The JAK/STAT signaling pathway is an universally expressed intracellular signal transduction pathway and involved in many crucial biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and immune regulation.
