Development of the Phaseless Calibration Algorithm for a Digital Antenna Array
In this paper, we will discuss a calibration algorithm for a digital antenna array that diagnoses its real performance. It can be applied at such stages of the antenna system life cycle as design, tuning, and especially maintenance.

Event-by-event simulation of the Hanbury Brown-Twiss experiment with coherent light [PDF]
We present a computer simulation model for the Hanbury Brown-Twiss experiment that is entirely particle-based and reproduces the results of wave theory.

Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

Modeling the train operation of the mainline locomotive
To date, there is a large number of programs that simulate the train operation of the locomotive using the method of traction calculations. As input data in the program, information is entered about the track section, locomotive and train composition ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Space Charge Modelling in Solid Dielectrics under High Electric Field Based on Double Charge Injection Model [PDF]
Present study aims to develop a clear insight on factors that influence space charge dynamics in solid dielectrics through a numerical simulation. The model used for the simulation is proposed by Alison and Hill [1] which describes charge dynamics as a ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Variance in System Dynamics and Agent Based Modelling Using the SIR Model of Infectious Disease [PDF]
Classical deterministic simulations of epidemiological processes, such as those based on System Dynamics, produce a single result based on a fixed set of input parameters with no variance between simulations. Input parameters are subsequently modified on
