Sinapic acid inhibits pancreatic cancer proliferation, migration, and invasion via downregulation of the AKT/Gsk‐3β signal pathway

Drug development research (Print), 2021
Among digestive system cancers, the extremely poor prognosis of pancreatic cancer (PC) is a pressing concern. Nonoperative treatments such as targeted and immunotherapy, have improved the current situation, however, the accompanying side effects of these

A sinapic acid ester from Boreava orientalis

Phytochemistry, 1994
Abstract A new sinapic acid ester, 6- O -β- d -(2′- O -sinapoyl)glucopyranosyl β- d -(1,2- O -disinapoyl)glucopyranose, was identified from fruits of Boreava orientalis . Structural elucidation was carried out on basis of UV, mass, 1 H and 13 C NMR spectral data, including 2D shift correlation and selective INEPT experiments.

Epitaxial protein inclusion in sinapic acid crystals

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1993
The authors report on the inclusion of protein molecules in growing crystals of trans-3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxy-cinnamic acid (trans-sinapic acid). This material is important as the 'matrix' compound in matrix-assisted lasar desorption, a promising new ion source for heavy molecule mass spectrometry.

Photophysical Properties of Sinapic Acid and Ferulic Acid and Their Binding Mechanism with Caffeine

Journal of Fluorescence
Sinapic acid (SA) and ferulic acid (FA) are bioactive compounds used in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries due to their antioxidant properties. In this work, we studied the photophysical properties of SA and FA in different solvents and concentrations and their interactions with caffeine (CF), using ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis ...

Biotransformation of Sinapic Acid Catalyzed by Momordica charantia Peroxidase

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2007
Biotransformation of sinapic acid (1) with H2O2/Momordica charantia peroxidase, which exists in the widely used food M. charantia, at pH 5.0, 43 degrees C, in the presence of acetone resulted in six compounds, including four new compounds. Compound 2 was the first isolation of a new unique sinapic acid tetrameric derivate, which is formed by peroxidase

Plant Sunscreens in the UV-B: Ultraviolet Spectroscopy of Jet-Cooled Sinapoyl Malate, Sinapic Acid, and Sinapate Ester Derivatives

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2014
Ultraviolet spectroscopy of sinapoyl malate, an essential UV-B screening agent in plants, was carried out in the cold, isolated environment of a supersonic expansion to explore its intrinsic UV spectral properties in detail. Despite these conditions, sinapoyl malate displays anomalous spectral broadening extending well over 1000 cm(-1) in the UV-B ...

Sinapic acid attenuates kainic acid-induced hippocampal neuronal damage in mice

Neuropharmacology, 2010
Excitotoxin induces neurodegeneration via glutamatergic activation or oxidative stress, which means that the blockade of glutamate receptors and the scavenging of free radicals are potential therapeutic targets in neurodegenerative diseases. Sinapic acid (SA) has a GABA(A) receptor agonistic property and free radical scavenging activity.
