Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Generic Properties of Framed Rectifying Curves

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
The position vectors of regular rectifying curves always lie in their rectifying planes. These curves were well investigated by B.Y.Chen. In this paper, the concept of framed rectifying curves is introduced, which may have singular points. We investigate

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

The relationship between diagrams of scalar properties isolines of ternary mixtures

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2012
The diagrams of scalar properties isolines corresponding to different aspect ratios are considered. It is shown that the sets of diagrams based on the vector fields of nodes do not always coincide with sets of diagrams based on the properties of a scalar

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

On the Stability of Planetary Motions During Stellar Approaches

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics
The problem of the spatial motion of a passively gravitating body during an to the central body of a perturbing body – a test star – is considered. Using the exact expression of the force function, an integral invariant relationship – a quasi-integral ...

Singular Points of UOV and VOX

open access: yes
In this work, we study the singular locus of the varieties defined by the public keys of UOV and VOX, two multivariate quadratic signature schemes submitted to the additional NIST call for signature schemes. Singular points do not exist for generic quadratic systems, which enables us to introduce a new algebraic attack against UOV-based schemes.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.
