Mechanism and structure analysis of SiO2-coated CaCO3 superfine particles(SiO2包覆超细CaCO3的结构和机理分析)

open access: yesZhejiang Daxue xuebao. Lixue ban, 2002

The Influence of Continuous Shear, Shear History and Relaxation on the Rheological Behavior of Sio2/Glycerine Suspensions

open access: yesApplied Rheology, 2015
Suspensions of SiO2 microspheres in glycerine exhibit drastic shear-thickening behavior under steady shear and dynamic oscillatory shear test. The rheological behavior of suspensions agrees with the modified Cox-Merz rules as the dynamic oscillatory ...

Effect of the Si/SiO2 Interface on Diffusion in SiO2

open access: yesHyomen Kagaku, 2005
Using 30Si-implanted 28SiO2 and natSiO2/28SiO2 structures, Si self-diffusion in SiO2 was studied as a function of temperature and SiO2 thickness (200−650 nm). Si self-diffusivity increased by about one order of magnitude with decreasing SiO2 thickness from 650 to 200 nm with a SiN layer, i.e., the shorter the distance between the 30Si diffusers and the

Vitreous GeO2 response to shock loading [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Shock wave profiles in vitreous GeO2 (6.56 Mg/m^3) under planar loading were measured using stress gauges to 14 GPa. New and previous data yield Hugoniot: D=0.974 (km/s)+1.711 u for shocks of 6 to 40 GPa.

Visible luminescence from hydrogenated amorphous silicon modified by femtosecond laser radiation

open access: yes, 2012
Visible luminescence is observed from the composite of SiO2 with embedded silicon nanocrystallites produced by femtosecond laser irradiation of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) film in air.

Etched graphene quantum dots on hexagonal boron nitride [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We report on the fabrication and characterization of etched graphene quantum dots (QDs) on hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) and SiO2 with different island diameters. We perform a statistical analysis of Coulomb peak spacings over a wide energy range.

Ion mixing of markers in SiO2 and Si [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
The amount of atomic mixing in amorphous SiO2 and Si is studied by measuring the redistribution of thin metal markers due to irradiation with 300-keV Xe+ ions.

Cathodoluminescence Properties of SiO2: Ce3+,Tb3+, SiO2:Ce3+, Pr3+ and SiO2: PbS

open access: yes, 2012
Silicon dioxide (SiO2), also known as silica, is an oxide of silicon (Si) that is found in nature in two different forms, namely amorphous and crystalline. Traditionally, amorphous SiO2 is used in many applications such as semiconductor circuits, microelectronics and optical fibers for telecommunication.
