Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

The Site Frequency Spectrum under Finite and Time-Varying Mutation Rates [PDF]
Abstract The diversity in genomes is due to the accumulation of mutations and the site frequency spectrum (SFS) is a popular statistic for summarizing genomic data. The current coalescent algorithm for calculating the SFS for a given demography assumes the μ → 0 limit, where

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

ML estimates of the site frequency spectrum from divergence ascertained data. [PDF]
Data used in the top and bottom panels correspond to the lower and upper 1% divergence ascertained data simulated via a coalescent method (see Figure 1 caption for details).

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Titin population splice site/region allele frequency spectrum. [PDF]
TTN population non-essential splice-site variants (>2bp) have significantly lower proportion of private variants and higher proportion of low-frequency variants compared to essential splice-site variants (P = 0.01; P = 5.1 × 10−4, respectively).

Fast and accurate approximation of the joint site frequency spectrum of multiple populations [PDF]
A bstract The site frequency spectrum (SFS) is a statistic that summarizes the distribution of derived allele frequencies in a sample of DNA sequences. The SFS provides useful information about genetic variation within and among populations and it can used to make population genetic ...

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.
