Critical evaluation of BNBC seismic response spectrum for Chattogram using one-dimensional nonlinear site response analysis

open access: yesDiscover Geoscience
Accurate estimation of ground motion at the surface is fundamental to seismic hazard assessment and resilient infrastructure design. The Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) 2020 provides generalized seismic response spectra by scaling bedrock ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Investigating the effect of the middle soft layer on the equivalent-linear and non-linear dynamic site responses [PDF]

open access: yesمدل‌سازی پیشرفته در مهندسی عمران
In this paper, the effect of the middle soft soil layer on the seismic response of a multi-layered site is investigated with the help of one-dimensional equivalent-linear and non-linear analysis methods.

Analysis of round robin test on seismic site response analysis

open access: yesKSCE Journal of Civil Engineering, 2012
Site response analysis, widely performed in practice to estimate seismic site effects, requires multiple inputs regarding the dynamic soil properties. While comprehensive site-specific field and laboratory tests need to be performed for the proper characterization of a site, engineers are often given only limited information and are forced to work with

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Subsurface Profiling of Shallow Bedrock Sites by Integrated Approach and Site-specific 2d Site Response Analysis

open access: yes, 2021
Estimation of reliable site effects and amplifications are important for seismic design. There are several 1D and 2D large scale site response analyses were reported in the literature and very limited shallow bedrock small scale 2D site responses were ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Assessing the applicability of thermal response testing to energy piles

open access: yes, 2014
Deep foundations are increasingly being used, not just to carry structural loads, but also to act as heat exchangers as part of a ground source heat pump system.
