Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

2D nonlinear seismic response characteristics of a megacity-scale site under Ricker wavelets
The seismic effects of complex, deep, and inhomogeneous sites constitute a significant research topic. Utilizing geological borehole data from the Suzhou urban area, a refined 2D finite element model with nonuniform meshes of a stratigraphic section ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Advance in seismic site response: Usual practices and innovative methods
Amplitudes and frequency content of the seismic ground motion generated by an earthquake and recorded at a specific location depends on the characteristics of the source, the path from the source to the site and the local geologic conditions.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Analysis of Rayleigh wave dynamic response and propagation characteristics in layered site
Rayleigh waves are crucial in earthquake engineering due to their significant contribution to structural damage. This study aims to accurately synthesize Rayleigh wave fields in both uniform elastic half-spaces and horizontally layered elastic half ...
