Targeting the Janus Kinase Family in Autoimmune Skin Diseases
Autoimmune skin diseases are characterized by significant local and systemic inflammation that is largely mediated by the Janus kinase (JAK)–signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) pathway.

Circular RNA: a novel potential biomarker for skin diseases.
Circular RNA (circRNA) has been classified as noncoding RNA with a covalent closed continuous loop, the 3'and 5' ends of which are normally joined together to increase its own stability. More recently, circRNA has been shown to encode proteins and may be

Emerging Topical and Systemic JAK Inhibitors in Dermatology [PDF]
Accumulating data on cellular and molecular pathways help to develop novel therapeutic strategies in skin inflammation and autoimmunity. Examples are psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, two clinically and immunologically well-defined disorders.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Tyrosine Kinases in Autoimmune and Inflammatory Skin Diseases
Tyrosine kinases relay signals from diverse leukocyte antigen receptors, innate immune receptors, and cytokine receptors, and therefore mediate the recruitment and activation of various leukocyte populations. Non-receptor tyrosine kinases of the Jak, Src,

Gasdermin E (GSDME) has recently been identified as a critical executioner to mediate pyroptosis. While epidermal keratinocytes can initiate GSDME-mediated pyroptosis, the role of keratinocyte GSDME in psoriatic dermatitis remains poorly characterized ...
