TheSoz: A SKOS representation of the thesaurus for the social sciences [PDF]

open access: yesSemantic Web, 2013
The Thesaurus for the Social Sciences (TheSoz) is a Linked Dataset in SKOS format, which serves as a crucial instrument for information retrieval based on e.g. document indexing or search term recommendation. Thesauri and similar controlled vocabularies build a linking bridge for datasets from the Linked Open Data cloud.

Sequential, chromosome‐specific glutamine synthetase double knockout with Cas‐CLOVER establishes enhanced CHO platforms for cell line development

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, Volume 42, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
This study established the first creation of a commercially available double GS knockout (DKO) from a single KO in CHO‐K1 cells, called CleanCut GS CHO using Cas‐CLOVER. When combined with the Harbor‐IN transposase system, CleanCut GS CHO cells demonstrated a highly antibody productivity.

Cell density–dependent nuclear‐cytoplasmic shuttling of SETDB1 integrates with Hippo signaling to regulate YAP1‐mediated transcription

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 600, Issue 3, Page 370-382, February 2026.
At low cell density, SETDB1 and YAP1 accumulate in the nucleus. As cell density increases, the Hippo pathway is gradually activated, and SETDB1 is associated with increased YAP1 phosphorylation. At high cell density, phosphorylated YAP1 is sequestered in the cytoplasm, while SETDB1 becomes polyubiquitinated and degraded by the ubiquitin–proteasome ...

Depletion of Sorcs3 Activates Totipotency in Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells by Modulating Key Signaling Pathways

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
In this article, Shuai and colleagues found that depletion of Sorcs3 could activate totipotency in mESCs, promising bidirectional differentiation potential to embryonic and extraembryonic lineages. The underlying mechanism might be activation of Tfap2c and repression of TGF‐β, PI3K‐AKT, and lysosome pathways.

EIF5A Couples Translational Control With Transcriptional Reprogramming Through Chromocenter Reorganization During Spermiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, 13 February 2026.
The translation factor Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A (eIF5A) is essential for male fertility in mice. It supports the translation of proteins crucial for heterochromatin organization and acrosome formation. eIF5A deficiency disrupts chromocenter integrity, increases chromatin accessibility, and causes transcriptional dysregulation ...

Towards a Graffiti Thesaurus in SKOS

open access: yes, 2022
This presentation was given by Jona Schlegel and Massimiliano Carloni during Session D of the goINDIGO 2022 international graffiti symposium. Awareness of the 20th-century graffiti phenomenon spread globally with movies like Wild Style (1983) and photo books like Subway art (1984). To educate the public on the graffiti movement, graffiti specific terms

Experimental Study on Anchorage Performance of Improved CFRP/GFRP Hybrid Fiber‐Reinforced Composite Anchor

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Fiber reinforced polymers (FRPs), particularly carbon FRP (CFRP), and glass FRP (GFRP), have gained significant attention in civil engineering due to their high strength, lightweight properties, and resistance to corrosion. However, conventional anchors used with CFRP and GFRP reinforcements often exhibit limitations, such as poor compatibility and ...
