Generalized Sliding Mode Observer Design for Linear and Nonlinear Systems
The development of a general framework to sliding mode observer design has always been a challenge in the field of automatic control and observation. Currently, most state-of-the-art observer designs are limited to a certain class of automatic systems ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Design of sliding-mode observer for a class of uncertain neutral stochastic systems [PDF]
© 2016 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group. The problem of robust H∞ control for a class of uncertain neutral stochastic systems (NSS) is investigated by utilising the sliding-mode observer (SMO) technique. This paper presents a novel

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.
