Exosome‐Mediated Delivery of PROTACs for Targeted Protein Degradation in Cancer, Neurodegenerative, Infectious, and Inflammatory Diseases

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 15, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Proteolysis‐targeting chimeras (PROTACs) are heterobifunctional molecules that hijack the ubiquitin‐proteasome system to drive catalytic, sub‐stoichiometric degradation of disease‐associated proteins, offering a mechanistic advantage over occupancy‐driven inhibitors and access to ‘undruggable’ targets.

miR‐640 Enhances Abemaciclib Sensitivity by Suppressing CDK Inhibitor Resistance‐Associated Genes in Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 15, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We investigated the potential of miR‐640 to downregulate CDK4/6 inhibitor resistance‐associated genes and evaluated its apoptotic, anti‐metastatic and anti‐proliferative effects, both alone and in combination with abemaciclib in breast cancer cells. miR‐640 was identified via GSE126125 dataset analysis.

Impact of Oral Herbal Supplementation on Human Skin Aging: A Systematic Review of Clinical Trials

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Skin aging, characterized by wrinkles, decreased elasticity, and dryness, is both a public health and esthetic issue, affecting most adults and leading to lowered quality of life and higher healthcare costs. While topical treatments are common, systemic approaches are gaining interest for their potential to enhance skin hydration ...

Amino acid homeostasis in the kidney: Physiological roles and pathological dysregulation

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 15, August 2026.
Abstract Amino acids are fundamental to life as protein building blocks and key regulators of metabolism and signaling. The kidney plays a critical, yet underappreciated, role in amino acid homeostasis through three interconnected pillars: selective glomerular filtration, efficient tubular reabsorption, and metabolic processing, which includes de novo ...
