Approximate Nonlocal Symmetries for a Perturbed Schrödinger Equation with a Weak Infinite Power-Law Memory

open access: yesAppliedMath, 2022
A nonlocally perturbed linear Schrödinger equation with a small parameter was derived under the assumption of low-level fractionality by using one of the known general nonlocal wave equations with an infinite power-law memory.

Ovarian Sex Cord Stromal Tumors in Children and Adolescents—The European Standard Clinical Practice Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As part of the European Cooperative Study Group for Paediatric Rare Tumours initiative, we developed standard clinical practice guidelines for ovarian sex cord stromal tumors, based on comprehensive national and international cohort analyses, literature review, and a final expert consensus conference.

Existence and Stability of Periodic Solutions for Reaction-Diffusion Equations in the Two-Dimensional Case

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2016
Parabolic singularly perturbed problems have been actively studied in recent years in connection with a large number of practical applications: chemical kinetics, synergetics, astrophysics, biology, and so on. In this work a singularly perturbed periodic

Phase Angle as an Early Functional Biomarker of Cancer‐Related Fatigue in Pediatric Oncology: A Prospective Longitudinal Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Pediatric cancer remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly in low‐and middle‐income countries. Cancer treatment may impair nutritional status, alter body composition, and exacerbate cancer‐related fatigue (CRF).

Asymptotic Approximation of the Solution of the Reaction-Diffusion-Advection Equation with a Nonlinear Advective Term

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2018
We consider a solution in a moving front form of the initial-boundary value problem for a singularly perturbed reaction-diffusion equation in a band with periodic conditions in one of the variables.

Natural Killer Cells in Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcomas: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Paediatric soft tissue sarcomas (pSTS) are a rare and heterogeneous group of malignant tumours arising in tissues of mesenchymal origin. The role of natural killer (NK) cells in pSTS remains poorly understood, with evidence fragmented across small preclinical studies and early‐phase clinical trials.

Stability of CW Solutions of the FDML Laser

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2014
The problem of existense and stability of continuous wave (CW) solutions R exp(iΛt) of a Fourier Domain Mode Locking laser model is studied. This model consists of two differential equations with delay. The delay is sufficiently large.

Asymptotic estimates of the solution of the boundary value problem for singularly perturbed integro-differential equations

open access: yesВестник КазНУ. Серия математика, механика, информатика, 2020
The mathematical models of many processes in physics, astrophysics, chemistry, biology, mechanics and technology are differential and integro-differential equations containing small parameters at the highest derivatives.

Design Parameters for a Small-Gauge Fragmatome

open access: yesTranslational Vision Science & Technology, 2019
Manufacturers of surgical instrumentation have increasingly sought to decrease the size of ophthalmic surgical instruments. We have used finite element modeling to model the stress and strain present in a fragmatome as a function of driving frequency and fragmatome dimensions.Finite element calculations using the COMSOL Multiphysics system v3.5 were ...
