Advanced flexible brain computer interface materials: From development to application

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
This review explores how novel materials coatings are advancing brain‐computer interface (BCI) technology. It describes how these materials help overcome key challenges in signal accuracy, biocompatibility, and device durability. The paper highlights BCI applications in medicine and entertainment, and discusses future trends that could transform human ...

Adsorption of sodium alginate onto sodium montmorillonite

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021
Abstract The interactions between polymers such polysaccharides and clay can be controlled by different factors, such as the functional groups of the polymers, pH and salinity of the suspension. This study was conducted to understand the various kinds of interactions between sodium Alginate (NaAlg) a polyanion negatively charged and sodium ...

Structural Characterization of Sodium Alginate and Calcium Alginate

Biomacromolecules, 2016
Alginate readily aggregates and forms a physical gel in the presence of cations. The association of the chains, and ultimately gel structure and mechanics, depends not only on ion type, but also on the sequence and composition of the alginate chain that ultimately determines its stiffness.

UHMWPE Modified Sodium Alginate

Materials Science Forum, 2015
Aim of our experiments was to modify prosthetic material UHMWPE powder using sodium alginate. The sodium alginate has an important property that the appropriate chemical reagent could exchange its Na+ions to Ca2+ions. The Ca has important role in the healing process, so modifying this substance the UHMWPE material helps patients healing.

Pharmacobezoar complicating treatment with sodium alginate

Journal of Gastroenterology, 2004
We encountered a gastric bezoar that had developed in a 9-year-old girl treated with sodium alginate (Alloid G) for acute gastritis associated with systemic lupus erythematosus. A hard mass palpated in the left upper abdomen proved, upon gastric endoscopy, to be an intragastric foreign body.
