Silicon Resistivity Behaviour

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2021
Intrinsic resistivity of any semiconductor silicon layer strongly depends on dopants and impurities concentrations. Structural properties, treating, coating, finishing etc. affect dynamic resistance behaviour of a given p-n junction in a wafer.

About Some Fundamental Aspects of the Growth Mechanism Vapor-Liquid-Solid Nanowires

open access: yesJournal of Nanotechnology, 2023
This study provides the formation of semiconductor nanowires (NWs) with a singular facet and a curved end surface by the vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) process that is analyzed and explained in details.

Materials Integrations for High-Performance Photovoltaics by Wafer Bonding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The fundamental efficiency limit for state of the art triple-junction photovoltaic devices is being approached. By allowing integration of non-lattice-matched materials in monolithic structures, wafer bonding enables novel photovoltaic devices that have ...

Holographic optical traps for atom-based topological Kondo devices

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
The topological Kondo (TK) model has been proposed in solid-state quantum devices as a way to realize non-Fermi liquid behaviors in a controllable setting. Another motivation behind the TK model proposal is the demand to demonstrate the quantum dynamical

(+)-Methyl 3β-acetoxy-13-carboxy-19-hydroxy-11-oxo-C-norolean-18-en-30-oate γ-lactone

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2010
The title compound, C33H46O7, is an unusual oxydation product of the therapeutic agent glycyrrhetinic acid that has, in comparison to the latter, a distinctly altered triterpene structure with one five- and four six-membered carbocycles complemented by a

Serological Benefit of SARS‐CoV‐2 Vaccination Relative to Infection in Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Numerical simulation of bubble generation in a T-junction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We present a numerical study of the formation of mini-bubbles in a 2D T-junction by means of the fluid dynamics numerical code JADIM. Numerical simulations were carried out for different flow conditions, giving rise to results on the behavior of bubble ...

Biotin Binding Hardly Affects Electron Transport Efficiency across Streptavidin Solid-State Junctions

open access: yesLangmuir, 2023
The electron transport (ETp) efficiency of solid-state protein-mediated junctions is highly influenced by the presence of electron-rich organic cofactors or transition metal ions. Hence, we chose to investigate an interesting cofactor-free non-redox protein, streptavidin (STV), which has unmatched strong binding affinity for an organic small-molecule ...
