TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Diffusivity and solubility of oxygen in solid palladium [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Materials Science, 2009
The solid solubility cO of oxygen in palladium in equilibrium with gaseous oxygen has been determined from absorption-desorption experiments for temperatures T of 1123 and 1173 K and oxygen partial pressures \( p_{{{\text{O}}_{2} }} \) between 2.7 × 103 and 4.0 × 104 Pa.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES AND ACCEPTANCE OF JELLY AND NECTAR OF ARAZA AND PAPAYA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The main objective of this work was to evaluate the acceptance of jelly and nectars made from araza (Eugenia stipitata Mc Vaugh) and papaya. The following percentages of araza and papaya were, respectively, used: 50:50; 40:60; 30:70 and 20:80.

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

REVIEW ARTICLE: SOLUBILITY ENHANCEMENT BY SOLID DISPERSION

open access: yesInternational Journal of Current Pharmaceutical Research, 2017
Enhancement of solubility, dissolution rate and bioavailability of the drug is a very challenging task in drug development, nearly 40% of the new chemical entities currently being discovered are poorly water soluble drugs. The solubility behaviour of the drugs remains one of the most challenging aspects in formulation development.
