Introduction and ecological effects of an exotic mangrove speciesSonneratia apetala

Acta Ecologica Sinica, 2012
Sonneratia apetala,a native mangrove species in India,Bengal and Sri Lanka, was introduced in 1985 to Dongzhaigang Mangrove Nature Reserve in Hainan Island from Sundarban, southwest of Bangladesh. The trees beared fruits 3 years later. Then it was further introduced from Dongzhaigang to Lianjiang of Leizhou Peninsula,Shenzhen Bay,Chenghai of eastern ...

[Dynamics and species-diversities of artificial Sonneratia apetala, Sonneratia caseolaris and Kandelia candel communities].

Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2006
Studies on the dynamics and species-diversities of artificial Sonneratia apetala, Sonneratia caseolaris and Kandelia candel communities showed that the arbor layer of S. apetala and S. caseolaris communities contained two distinctive sub-layers. The upper layer was composed of S. apetala or S. caseolaris, and the medium layer was composed of K.

Sonnerachromones A–G, Antiaging Chromones from the Fruit of Mangrove Sonneratia apetala

Journal of Natural Products
Seven novel chromone derivatives, sonnerachromones A-G (1-7), were isolated from the fruit of mangrove Sonneratia apetala. Compounds 1-3 contain a 6/5/6/6/tetracyclic system with rare C-glycosyl spirocyclic skeletons. The unusual structures were identified by analysis of HRESIMS data, NMR spectra, electronic circular dichroism (ECD), DFT-calculated 13C

Micropruina sonneratiae sp. nov., a novel endophytic actinobacterium isolated from bark of Sonneratia apetala and emended description of the genus Micropruina

International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology
A novel strain, KQZ13P-5T, was isolated from the bark of Sonneratia apetala collected from Maowei Sea Mangrove Nature Reserve of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Cells of strain KQZ13P-5T were Gram-stain-positive, aerobic and non-spore producing. A polyphasic taxonomic approach was investigated to resolve its taxonomic position.

Phenomenon and Mechanisms of Sonneratia apetala Introduction and Spread Promoting Excessive Growth of Derris trifoliata

open access: yesForests
Sonneratia apetala Buch., an alien species with strong growth and adaptability, has been introduced and cultivated in Southeastern China. Meanwhile, Derris trifoliata Lour., native to coastal and riparian areas in Guangdong, Guangxi, and Fujian provinces, has experienced a rapid surge in population, impacting the health of mangrove ecosystems.

Removal of nutrients and heavy metals from wastewater with mangrove Sonneratia apetala Buch-Ham

Ecological Engineering, 2010
Abstract Mangrove wetlands are important in the removal of nutrients, heavy metals, and organic pollutants from wastewater within estuarine systems due to the presence of oxidized and reduced conditions, periodic flooding by incoming and outgoing tides, and high clay and organic matter content.

[Wind-attenuation effect of Sonneratia apetala and Kandelia obovata plantations].

Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2013
A field monitoring was conducted to examine the wind-attenuation effect of mangrove plantations at the Sanjiang Bay of Dongzhai Harbor, Hainan Province of South China. The wind speed and wind direction were measured at a site 50 m away from the offshore forest fringes of Sonneratia apetala and Kandelia obovata plantations and 2 m above the ground. Both

[Energy situation of Sonneratia apetala-S. caseloris forest in Futian of Shenzhen].

Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2003
Based on the measurement of biomass and productivity, the caloric value of different fractions of two species in S. apetala-S. caseloris forest, and their standing crop of energy and net energy production were determined. There were some differences in caloric values among the fractions of S. apetala and S.
