Development of Ultrasound Microbubbles and Phase Shift Microbubbles in Theranostics
Microbubbles have been originally designed for diagnostic applications. Over the years, microbubbles and phase shift microbubbles have been further developed for therapeutic indications. ABSTRACT Ultrasound is widely used for diagnostic imaging and therapy.

Efficient mRNA Delivery with Lyophilized Human Serum Albumin-Based Nanobubbles
In this study, we developed an efficient mRNA delivery vehicle by optimizing a lyophilization method for preserving human serum albumin-based nanobubbles (HSA-NBs), bypassing the need for artificial stabilizers. The morphology of the lyophilized material

Stimuli‐responsive strategies to achieve controlled release of protein‐based therapeutic agents into solid tumors. Proteins, enzymes, and peptides have long been recognized as valuable therapeutic agents, particularly in oncology. However, their complex chemical structures render them more sensitive than smaller chemotherapeutic drugs.

Advances in sonoporation strategies for cancer
We will focus on the therapeutic applications of ultrasound (US) for gene transfection or 'sonoporation'. Sonoporation therapy or 'sonotherapy' is an emerging physical method for delivering drugs and/or nucleic acids for treating cancer. Because of its non-invasive nature, sonotherapy has the potential to be competitive with other treatment delivery ...

Spatiotemporally controlled single cell sonoporation [PDF]
This paper presents unique approaches to enable control and quantification of ultrasound-mediated cell membrane disruption, or sonoporation, at the single-cell level. Ultrasound excitation of microbubbles that were targeted to the plasma membrane of HEK-293 cells generated spatially and temporally controlled membrane disruption with high repeatability.

Nanoparticles in Vascular Dementia: Advantages and Challenges
This review highlights the dual diagnostic and therapeutic potential of nanomaterials in Vascular Dementia (VaD). By effectively crossing the blood–brain barrier, functionalized nanoparticles facilitate early diagnosis by targeting Aβ deposits and vascular lesions.

Progress and Challenges in Faba Bean Genetic Engineering
ABSTRACT Legumes are essential for global food security, serving as a vital source of plant‐based protein and playing a significant role in sustainable agricultural practices. Among legumes, faba bean (Vicia faba L.) is noteworthy due to its high‐protein content, broad climate adaptation, and suitability for cultivation in temperate regions.

Sonochemotherapy: From bench to bedside
The combination of microbubbles and ultrasound has emerged as a promising method for local drug delivery. Microbubbles can be locally activated by a targeted ultrasound beam, which can result in several bio-effects.

Nanobubble Mediated Gene Delivery in Conjunction With a Hand-Held Ultrasound Scanner
Recent research has revealed that nanobubbles (NBs) can be an effective tool for gene transfection in conjunction with therapeutic ultrasound (US). However, an approach to apply commercially available hand-held diagnostic US scanners for this purpose has
