Sorting nexins provide diversity for retromer-dependent trafficking events [PDF]
Sorting nexins are a large family of evolutionarily conserved phosphoinositide-binding proteins that have fundamental roles in orchestrating cargo sorting through the membranous maze that is the endosomal network. One ancient group of complexes that contain sorting nexins is the retromer.

Snord17, through interaction with Thoc3, promotes nuclear export and translation of Yy2 mRNA in Snord17+/+ ISCs. The Yy2 protein subsequently binds the Tead4 promoter to promote its transcription, activating Hippo signaling, which is essential for ISC maintenance.

Retromer- and WASH-dependent sorting of nutrient transporters requires a multivalent interaction network with ANKRD50 [PDF]
Retromer and the associated actin-polymerizing WASH complex are essential for the endocytic recycling of a wide range of integral membrane proteins. A hereditary Parkinson's-disease-causing point mutation (D620N) in the retromer subunit VPS35 perturbs

Endocytic Control of Cell‐Autonomous and Non‐Cell‐Autonomous Functions of p53
NUMB Ex3‐containing isoforms localize to the plasma membrane, where they recruit p53 through SNX9 and direct it to multivesicular bodies and exosomes. Exported p53 is taken up by neighboring cells and activates nuclear programs, revealing an intercellular, exosome‐based pathway that might help establish a tumor‐suppressive microenvironment.

Annexin XIIIb: a novel epithelial specific annexin is implicated in vesicular traffic to the apical plasma membrane [PDF]
The sorting of apical and basolateral proteins into vesicular carriers takes place in the trans-Golgi network (TGN) in MDCK cells. We have previously analyzed the protein composition of immunoisolated apical and basolateral transport vesicles and have ...

Phloretin alleviates HFD‐induced obesity and suppresses adipogenesis by activating the ferroptosis pathway, potentially via targeting PPARγ and transferrin. ABSTRACT Phloretin, a plant‐derived dihydrochalcone bioactive compound, potentially modulates preadipocyte differentiation, although this remains controversial and requires further clarification ...

The role of snx41-based pexophagy in magnaporthe development. [PDF]
Pexophagy, the degradation of peroxisomes via selective autophagy, depends on Atg20/Snx42 function in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Besides its role in selective autophagy, Atg20/Snx42 is also involved in an autophagy-independent endosomal retrieval ...
