The influence of impurities on the operation of selected fuel ignition systems in combustion engines
The paper attempts to determine the impact of fuel impurities on the spark discharge energy and the wear of the spark plug electrode. Spark plugs were analyzed in two typical configurations of the ignition system.

On the tulip flame formation: the effect of pressure waves [PDF]
The effects of pressure waves on the tulip flame formation in closed and semi-open tubes were studied using numerical simulations of the fully compressible Navier-Stokes equations coupled to a detailed chemical model for stoichiometric hydrogen air mixture.

In this work, a gas aggregation cluster source and an initiated chemical vapor deposition are combined in a single vacuum reactor. With this setup polymer thin films can be combined with functional nanoparticles. As a proof‐of‐concept PTFE is combined with silver nanoparticles and tested in antibacterial, antiviral, and anticancer applications ...

Transition region ignition characteristics of n-heptane fuel sprays [PDF]
Ignition studies were perferred on monodisperse n-heptane sprays at atmospheric pressure over a range of equivalence ratios and droplet diameters. A capacitive discharge spark ignition system was used as the ignition source, providing independent control

Metal‐Organic Framework‐Based Tribovoltaic Textile for Human Body Signal Monitoring
A metal‐organic framework‐based tribovoltaic textile (TVT) is developed using copper‐benzenehexathiol (Cu‐BHT) as a novel p‐type semiconductor. The Cu‐BHT TVT consistently produces pure DC output due to self‐rectification and exhibits excellent flexibility and stability.
