GPU accelerated computation of fast spectral transforms
This paper discusses techniques for accelerated computation of several fast spectral transforms on graphics processing units (GPUs) using the Open Computing Language (OpenCL). We present a reformulation of fast algorithms which takes into account peculiar properties of transforms to make them suitable for the GPU implementation.

Average-case Acceleration Through Spectral Density Estimation
We develop a framework for the average-case analysis of random quadratic problems and derive algorithms that are optimal under this analysis. This yields a new class of methods that achieve acceleration given a model of the Hessian's eigenvalue distribution. We develop explicit algorithms for the uniform, Marchenko-Pastur, and exponential distributions.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Accelerating Smooth Games by Manipulating Spectral Shapes
We use matrix iteration theory to characterize acceleration in smooth games. We define the spectral shape of a family of games as the set containing all eigenvalues of the Jacobians of standard gradient dynamics in the family. Shapes restricted to the real line represent well-understood classes of problems, like minimization.

Incorporation of a spectral model in a convolutional neural network for accelerated spectral fitting [PDF]
PurposeMRSI has shown great promise in the detection and monitoring of neurologic pathologies such as tumor. A necessary component of data processing includes the quantitation of each metabolite, typically done through fitting a model of the spectrum to the data.

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Self acceleration from spectral geometry in dissipative quantum-walk dynamics
The dynamic behavior of a physical system often originates from its spectral properties. In open systems, where the effective non-Hermitian description enables a wealth of spectral structures in the complex plane, the concomitant dynamics are ...

CUDA-based parallel acceleration algorithm for wavelet denoising of airborne γ-ray spectrometry data
BackgroundThe volume of aviation gamma spectrum data is immense. If only a central processing unit (CPU) is used for data post-processing, it would be constrained by computational efficiency.PurposeThis study aims to propose a CUDA-based graphics ...
