Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Characterization of the Noise in Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry Depth Profiles
The noise in the depth profiles of secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) is studied using different samples under various experimental conditions. Despite the noise contributions from various parts of the dynamic SIMS process, its overall character ...

Recent developments in ionization techniques for single-cell mass spectrometry
The variation among individual cells plays a significant role in many biological functions. Single-cell analysis is advantageous for gaining insight into intricate biochemical mechanisms rarely accessible when studying tissues as a whole.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Quantitative Study of Spodumene by Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (tof-SIMS)
In this paper, the quantitative feasibility of time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (tof-SIMS) for major and minor elements in spodumene was evaluated in terms of calibration method with a matrix-matched or non-matrix-matched standard and an ...

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

The role of a diffusion barrier in plasma display panel with the high gamma cathode layer [PDF]
Plasma display panel (PDP) with MgO-SrO double cathode layer and SiO(2) diffusion barrier is proposed to make the SrO layer free of contaminations. Time of flight-secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) analysis shows the diffusion of impurities, like

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...
