Expression and Localization of a Testis‐Specific Heat Shock Protein (CfHSP70‐2) During Spermatogenesis in the Spruce Budworm, Choristoneura fumiferana (Clem.)

This study discovered CfHSP70‐2, a heat shock protein expressed in the testis of a forest lepidopteran pest spruce budworm, Choristoneura fumiferana, during late pupal and adult stages primarily found in round spermatids during spermatogenesis. Heat shock, starvation, and chemical heat shock protein activators were unable to alter expression.
