Seasonality in Perovskite Solar Cells: Insights from 4 Years of Outdoor Data

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This manuscript presents a unique multi‐year outdoor dataset on perovskite solar cells exposed in Germany. It highlights the unusually high‐magnitude seasonal changes in device performance. Unlike conventional PV, studied perovskite solar cells perform better in summer.

Chiral Selenium‐Integrated Multi‐Resonant Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescent Emitters Showing Improved Reverse Intersystem Crossing Rate

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The selenium‐based tBuCz‐DiKTaSe emitter containing a twisted ortho‐disposed tert‐butylcarbazole shows high ΦPL, suppressed ACQ, fast kRISC and is chiral. The OLEDs show high EQEmax and alleviated efficiency roll‐off compared to devices with carbonyl‐based MR‐TADF emitters.

Locating Non‐Radiative Recombination Losses and Understanding Their Impact on the Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells During Photo‐Thermal Accelerated Ageing

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work links potential losses to performance decay, revealing the significant impact of non‐radiative recombination losses during ageing. Based on this framework, unstable interfacial materials are identified and key stability enhancement strategies are proposed, enabling devices with T80 lifetimes exceeding 1000 h under harsh photo‐thermal stress ...

Improved Performance and Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells by Incorporating Silicon Quantum Dots within the FAPbI3 Active Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid perovskite of FAPbI3 with surface‐engineered Si quantum dots (SiQDs, ≈2 nm) shows enhanced carrier transport, reduced surface defects, and modified Fermi level and bandgap. SiQDs are mostly integrated within the perovskite film, and the perovskite lattice serves as a scaffold for the integration of the QDs.

Hinge‐Like Mechanochromic Mechanophores Based on [2.2]Paracyclophane

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Hinge‐like supramolecular mechanophores utilizing [2.2]paracyclophane have been developed. In the force‐free state, the rigid [2.2]paracyclophane forces two luminophores into proximity, leading to excimer‐dominant photoluminescence. Stretching the polyurethane films into which the mechanophores are covalently incorporated results in the structures of ...

Enhancing Stability of Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells via Buried Interface Modification Using In‐Situ Crosslinked Thiol‐Ene Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Two crosslinkable molecules are introduced into the buried interface of perovskite to regulate the interfacial contact between [2‐(3,6‐dimethoxy‐9H‐carbazol‐9‐yl)ethyl]phosphonic acid and perovskite. The cross‐linked interfacial layer can control the crystallization process of the perovskite thin film and adjust the energy level alignment.

Reduction‐Induced C─C Cleavage and Site‐Specific Hydrogenation of a Highly Strained Bilayer Spironanographene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis revealed a reduction‐induced ring cleavage with subsequent hydrogenation of a bilayer spironanographene upon treatment with alkali metals. Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations suggested localized spin density on the C‐atom at the central spirocycle upon one‐fold reduction, facilitating a site‐specific ...

Synthesis, Molecular Docking Study, Anti-Oxidant and Cytotoxicity Evaluation of New Spiro Six Membered Ring Derivatives of 5-nitro isatin

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Spiro-5-nitro isatino six memberd ring (quinazoline-4-one, thiazine-4-one and oxazine-4-one) respectively were produced by a cycloaddition of 5-nitro isatin Schiff bases [1–5] with anthranilic acid, o-mercapto benzoic acid and salicylic acid.
