Escherichia coli SRP, Its Protein Subunit Ffh, and the Ffh M Domain Are Able To Selectively Limit Membrane Protein Expression When Overexpressed

open access: yesmBio, 2010
The Escherichia coli signal recognition particle (SRP) system plays an important role in membrane protein biogenesis. Previous studies have suggested indirectly that in addition to its role during the targeting of ribosomes translating membrane proteins ...

Biogenesis of TNF‐α‐insights into proteostasis and inflammation

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
TNF‐α biogenesis, trafficking, and signalling are tightly and reciprocally coupled to cellular proteostasis systems, including ER chaperones and endoplasmic reticulum‐associated degradation. This bidirectional crosstalk determines whether TNF‐α responses are adaptive or proteotoxic.

Circularization restores signal recognition particle RNA functionality in Thermoproteus

open access: yeseLife, 2015
Signal recognition particles (SRPs) are universal ribonucleoprotein complexes found in all three domains of life that direct the cellular traffic and secretion of proteins.

The Effect of Adjunctive Systemic Antibiotics on the Outcomes of Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy: A Retrospective Cohort Study. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Clin Periodontol
ABSTRACT Aim To evaluate the real‐world comparative effectiveness of various adjunctive systemic antibiotic regimens in combination with scaling and root planing (SRP) using a large, multi‐centre retrospective cohort. Materials and Methods Electronic health records were used retrospectively to categorise periodontitis patients into ‘SRP Only’ or ‘SRP +

Life prediction modeling based on strainrange partitioning [PDF]

open access: yes
Strainrange partitioning (SRP) is an integrated low-cycle-fatigue life predicting system. It was created specifically for calculating cyclic crack initiation life under severe high-temperature fatigue conditions.

Site-Specific Fluorescent Labeling of Nascent Proteins on the Translating Ribosome [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
As newly synthesized proteins emerge from the ribosome, they interact with a variety of cotranslational cellular machineries that facilitate their proper folding, maturation, and localization.

Phase space description of the dynamics due to the coupled effect of the planetary oblateness and the solar radiation pressure perturbations

open access: yes, 2019
The aim of this work is to provide an analytical model to characterize the equilibrium points and the phase space associated with the singly-averaged dynamics caused by the planetary oblateness coupled with the solar radiation pressure perturbations.

Efficacy of Dental Varnishes and Gels for the Prevention and Management of Dental Caries in Older Adults—A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesGerodontology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction To evaluate the efficacy of dental varnishes/gels in the prevention/management of dental caries in older adults. Methods Cochrane, PubMed, Web of Science and EMBASE were searched through March 2024 for randomized controlled trials (RCT) including patients aged ≥ 60 years (or average age ≥ 60 years) utilizing varnish or gel ...
