AbstractSelective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) have been accused of causing bleeding problems as a side effect. Theories about the mechanism are still being discussed. We report a case, presenting bleeding problems, during sertraline treatment. The SSRIs are widely used to treat depression and many other psychiatric disorders.

Frequency Precision of Oscillators Based on High-Q Resonators [PDF]
We present a method for analyzing the phase noise of oscillators based on feedback driven high quality factor resonators. Our approach is to derive the phase drift of the oscillator by projecting the stochastic oscillator dynamics onto a slow time scale ...

CYP2C19 Genotype is Associated with Citalopram Treatment Outcomes in a Real‐World Setting
CYP2C19 metabolizes various selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and genetic CYP2C19 variants are associated with SSRI tolerability and response. Yet, whether CYP2C19 variability also impacts citalopram response remained unclear. We here evaluated associations between CYP2C19 genotypes and citalopram prescription data of 11,079 patients from

Female genital disorder as adverse symptom of lamotrigine treatment - A serotoninergic effect? [PDF]
The new anticonvulsant, lamotrigine, is becoming an important tool in the treatment of bipolar disorder, including bipolar depression. Its efficacy in bipolar depression might be linked to its inhibition of serotonin uptake.

Registered Clinical Trials of Ayahuasca and DMT: A Scoping Review
Interest in ayahuasca and its main component, N,N‐Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), has currently moved from historical and experimental use into modern clinical development. Yet, current evidence is fragmented, and systematic mapping of trial methods and design choices remains limited.

Abstract Background Integrin is an αβ heterodimeric receptor to the extracellular matrix; its binding to the matrix recruits focal adhesions to two NPxY motifs, the tyrosine phosphorylation sites in the cytoplasmic domain. Studies found that replacing tyrosines (Y) with phenylalanines (F) in the motif of β1 integrin displayed little developmental or ...
