RGS domain-independent Sst2 action

2008
RGS proteins are a family of proteins that share a conserved RGS domain that contacts Gα to accelerate GTP hydrolysis. It is thought that the function of RGS proteins lies not only in the RGS domain, but also through interactions mediated by domains outside of this region.

Evaluation of serum sST2 and sCD40L values in patients with microvascular angina

Microvascular Research, 2019
Coronary microvascular dysfunction plays a major role in the pathogenesis of microvascular angina (MVA). Along with endothelial dysfunction, microvascular atherosclerosis and inflammation seem to contribute to the development of coronary microvascular dysfunction.

Fluorescence Aptasensor for sST2 Detection Using In Vitro Selected Aptamers

Analytical Chemistry
Soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (sST2) is a critical biomarker for heart failure (HF) diagnosis and prognosis, yet conventional antibody-based detection methods suffer from time-consuming protocols and high costs and involve complex detection procedures.

Role of Sst2 in Modulating G Protein-Coupled Receptor Signaling

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1996
Sst2 formally acts as an inhibitor of G protein-coupled receptor signaling in yeast perhaps stabilizing a G protein/unactivated receptor complex. desTrp1,Ala3 alpha-factor (dTA-alpha f), normally a competitive antagonist, activated responses in an sst2 strain.

Assessment of serum sST2 for cardiac involvement in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies

Clinical Biochemistry
To assess the diagnostic performance of soluble growth stimulation-expressed gene 2 (sST2) for cardiac involvement in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs).From a cohort of 237 patients with IIMs, 86 were finally included and 18 exhibited cardiac involvement.
