Abstract Stages of embryonic development for reptiles have been presented in tables that may include all or part of embryonic development. When oviposition occurs in some lizards, embryos are already in the later stages of development; likewise, the size of the eggs increases as incubation time progresses.

A global assessment of abyssal–hadal vermiform lebensspuren: Functional consistency with depth
Abstract Lebensspuren—sedimentary traces produced by benthic organisms—are widespread on deep‐sea floors but remain infrequently reported from abyssal (~ 3000–6000) and hadal (> 6000 m) environments. Here, we present the most comprehensive assessment of abyssal–hadal vermiform lebensspuren to date, spanning multiple ocean basins and reaching full‐ocean

Clostridioides difficile infections are increasingly problematic in areas with already burdened healthcare systems. From a One‐Health perspective, a lack of surveillance in developing countries greatly contributes to the limited information available on the zoonotic and foodborne potential of C. difficile.

Distribution of organ involvement in reported hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae cases. Studies restricted to isolated liver abscess cases were excluded. Percentages represent the proportion of cases with documented involvement of each anatomical site among cases with available data.

In reservoir‐associated RT033 strains, we observe a natural rewiring of spore germination that lowers the activation threshold and broadens bile‐salt specificity, enabling germination at low germinant levels and in response to typically inhibitory bile‐salts common in animal hosts.

Update of the Xylella spp. host plant database – Systematic literature search up to 31 December 2025
Abstract This scientific report provides an update of the Xylella spp. host plant database, aiming to provide information and scientific support to risk assessors, risk managers and researchers dealing with Xylella spp. Upon a mandate of the European Commission, EFSA created and regularly updates a database of host plant species of Xylella spp.

Wavelength‐Dependent 3D Printing: Introducing 3D Printed Action Plots
Photochemical action plots – wavelength‐dependent reactivity studies of photoactive molecules – can show a significant mismatch between the peak of photochemical action and maximum absorbance in photopolymerization systems in solution. How this knowledge translates to photocuring in light‐driven 3D printing remains unexplored.

Emergence and establishment of KPC-2-producing ST11 Klebsiella pneumoniae in a general hospital in Shanghai, China [PDF]
The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) collected during an outbreak in a Chinese teaching hospital and to provide insights into the prevention and control of nosocomial infection. We collected unique CRKP clinical isolates from 2009 to 2013.

The primary mechanism of carbapenem resistance identified in pediatric CRKP‐BSI strains was the production of Class B metalloenzymes. We report, for the first time, an outbreak of bloodstream infections in a neonatal ward caused by the dissemination of NDM‐1‐producing ST25 K. pneumoniae.
