Transient stability assessment model based on stacked sparse denoising auto-encodern

open access: yes电力工程技术, 2022
With its good performance, the deep learning model is introduced into the transient stability assessment of power system. However, when applying online, the anti-noise ability and generalization ability of the models must be paid attention to.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

An Improved Gaussian Sum Extended Kalman Filter With Colored Noise for GNSS/SINS Tightly Coupled Positioning and Attitude Determination Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access
The Gaussian sum extended Kalman filter (GSEKF), as a nonlinear non-Gaussian filter, disregards the impact of colored noise components in non-Gaussian noise engendered by external interference, which may compromise the estimation accuracy in global ...

Noise performance of frequency modulation Kelvin force microscopy

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2014
Noise performance of a phase-locked loop (PLL) based frequency modulation Kelvin force microscope (FM-KFM) is assessed. Noise propagation is modeled step by step throughout the setup using both exact closed loop noise gains and an approximation known as “

Noise robustness of persistent homology on greyscale images, across filtrations and signatures.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2021
Topological data analysis is a recent and fast growing field that approaches the analysis of datasets using techniques from (algebraic) topology. Its main tool, persistent homology (PH), has seen a notable increase in applications in the last decade ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

High-Noise Grayscale Image Denoising Using an Improved Median Filter for the Adaptive Selection of a Threshold

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Grayscale image processing is a key research area in the field of computer vision and image analysis, where image quality and visualization effects may be seriously damaged by high-density salt and pepper noise.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Persistence and Stochastic Extinction in a Lotka–Volterra Predator–Prey Stochastically Perturbed Model

open access: yesMathematics
The classical Lotka–Volterra predator–prey model is globally stable and uniformly persistent. However, in real-life biosystems, the extinction of species due to stochastic effects is possible and may occur if the magnitudes of the stochastic effects are ...
