Update of Natural Compounds in Transthyretin Amyloidosis, Years 2020–2025
Transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR) is a disease caused by the deposition of transthyretin-derived fibrils in the body. Despite extensive research conducted over the years, there are currently only four drugs available in clinical use to treat this ...

Affine hypersurfaces admitting a pointwise symmetry
An affine hypersurface is said to admit a pointwise symmetry, if there exists a subgroup of the automorphism group of the tangent space, which preserves (pointwise) the affine metric h, the difference tensor K and the affine shape operator S.

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

On the one-endedness of graphs of groups [PDF]
We give a technical result that implies a straightforward necessary and sufficient conditions for a graph of groups with virtually cyclic edge groups to be one ended.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Stabilizers, Measures and IP-sets
The purpose of this simple note is to provide elementary model-theoretic proofs to some existing results on sumset phenomena and IP sets, motivated by Hrushovski's work on the stabilizer ...
